The Bowen Island Yacht Club is a friendly, family-oriented club which has provided a sail training program for over 20 years. All BIYC staff are experienced, trained, and certified by Sail Canada. Students enjoy quality sail instruction in a fun and safe environment. Come sail with us and experience the exhilaration of learning to sail!

This summer the Bowen Island Yacht Club will be offering two different certification programs: WetFeet and CANSail. Both these courses introduce new sailors to the basics of sailing and offer experienced sailors many opportunities to advance their abilities. Students learn new skills in small classes using games and interactive lessons on land and on water to master these new abilities. WetFeet is specifically designed for younger children aged 7 to 10. Our CANSail is intended for older children above the age of 10.

Private sailing lessons and programs are provided upon request. Put together a group of interested adults or set out for a day of learning how to sail with the family! We are happy to work with you to accommodate your schedule and skill level.
