Bowen Island Yacht Club has a long tradition of sailboat racing in and around Howe Sound. Our race program includes two seasonal series as well as one of the largest single-start races in the Pacific Northwest.
• Spring Quartet Series – Four races held in March and April.
• Devil’s Tankard Series – Four races held in September and October.
BIYC also hosts the Round Bowen Race, the largest single-start race in the Pacific Northwest. This iconic event takes place every year on the second Saturday of June, bringing together a large fleet of boats to circumnavigate Bowen Island in a single spectacular start.
