Devil's Tankard 2026

This is a series of 4 races. The first race normally begins on the first Sunday following Labour day in September, and the following races continue biweekly.

The BIYC races follow one of two courses, dependent on wind direction at the start. The southerly course is Miller’s Landing -> Passage Island ->Bird Island -> Miller’s Landing. The northern course is Miller’s Landing ->Cates Bay (Hood Point) orange buoy -> Bird Island -> Miller’s Landing.

All participants in this event do so at their own risk, and by completing this entry form the skipper and crew of each entered boat specifically agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Bowen Island Yacht Club, its organizers and its agents, officials, servants, sponsors, and representatives from and against all claims, actions, costs, expenses and demands in respect to death, injury, loss, or damage to any person or property, howsoever caused arising out of or in connection with the participation in this event, notwithstanding that the same may have been contributed to or caused or occasioned by the negligence of the same bodies, or any of them, or their agents, officials, servants or representatives. I represent to the Bowen Island Yacht Club that my vessel has liability insurance currently in effect. Skippers also agree to be bound by the Racing Rules of Sailing (latest edition), with the Sail Canada Prescriptions.
