This is a series of 4 races. The first race normally begins on the 2nd or 3d Sunday in March and the following races continue biweekly.
The BIYC races follow one of three courses, dependent on wind direction and speed at the start.
The southerly course is:
Miller’s Landing → Passage Island → Bird Islet → Miller’s Landing.
The northerly course is:
Miller’s Landing → Cates Bay (Hood Point) orange buoy → Bird Islet → Miller’s Landing.
The ODAS course is:
Miller’s Landing → English Bay ODAS Buoy (49.3N 123.36W) → Miller’s Landing.
